Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Arm Lift Surgery / Arm Reduction / Brachioplasty

Who would consider arm lift (brachioplasty) surgery?

People who have excess skin and fat on their upper arms and experience dissatisfaction or discomfort from the shape and laxity of their arms may consider this surgery.

What does brachioplasty surgery involve?

During surgery, the excess skin and underlying fat are removed from the underside of the arm. The resultant scar is along the inside of the arm.

What results can I expect following brachioplasty surgery?

The procedure aims to recontour the shape of the upper arms, according to each patient’s desires and amount of skin laxity. Patients can usually return to normal activities after 2-3 weeks. Strenuous activity should be avoided for 6 weeks. The scar on the inside of the arm remains visible but should improve over time

The potential complications and risks of brachioplasty surgery will be discussed in detail with you at your consultation with Dr Pyragius.
